Lifeskills is a community-based service designed for adults with developmental disabilities from 30 years old to seniors. The Program supports them to make healthy choices and live independently if they choose. The program operates from our Marine Office located at 201-4675 Marine Ave. and is funded primarily by Community Living BC (CLBC). Eligibility to the program is determined by criteria established by CLBC and referrals are made to the program by CLBC. For more information on eligibility go to http://www.communitylivingbc.ca/. If the program is full, then you will be put on a waitlist for service by both CLBC and PRACL. If CLBC can fund the new service, then PRACL can usually provide the service immediately.
A professional team of employees offer support to their clients in the areas of education, work, life skills, social skills and recreation and may include such activities as:
- Cooking
- Cleaning
- Shopping and nutrition
- Money management

- Legal issues
- Other skills as needed by each individual that builds on each person's strengths and talents.
Our goal is to connect the individuals we support with their community and ensure their full citizenship. The service is delivered both individually and in groups.
