Festival of Trees has proven to be a spectacular and popular event showcasing custom decorated trees and wreaths. The trees and wreaths are put on display for public viewing (by donation) during the Festival at the Powell River Town Centre Hotel. Decorations and wreaths are then sold to the public by silent auction (all proceeds to PRACL).
It's a great opportunity for any business or person to participate as a sponsor and to have their company name prominently displayed throughout the duration of the Festival. It's also a great opportunity to pick up decorations or a wreath for your home or business.
Sponsors, decorators, trees and wreaths are carefully planned for each years event. We can use your support in any of those categories. For sponsors it's a great way to promote your business and support a great cause. For tree decorators and wreath makers it's a great way to showcase your artistic talents. And for those of you who just want to volunteer a couple of hours - it's a great way to meet new and old friends as they pop in to experience this spectacular event.
Of course, everyone is welcome to just come in to see the event, soak up some incredible Christmas atmosphere and vote on their favourites. But, more importantly, you can take this unique opportunity to purchase a beautifully decorated tree or wreath to get your home or office ready for the Christmas Season!
Proceeds from this event go to PRACL's Wish Fund. This fund is for things we do not receive funding for, including youth projects, musical instruments, camping equipment, specialized equipment, therapeutic riding lessons and emergency support.
